It's gloomy and rainy here today, and most of the garden chores are done for now. I just wanted to show you this Bee's Choice Dahlia from last year. It is the one I call "Cosmic Red" because it reminded me of Cosmos flowers. It has grown to be a huge plant. I placed it in an empty spot in the landscape where it had plenty of room to grow.
For reference, the fence to the left is five feet tall. It is now protected from deer so I have lost a few buds before they bloomed.
It is a bright spot in the garden.
