Harvest Monday

Not peas.  For a change.  Boy, once those male flowers kicked in...

I've got to stay on top of them and pick the Cue Ball squash small.  Frequent sightings of the squash vine borer moth has me nervous but so far, the shredded leaf mulch seems to be discouraging them.

Soon it will be green beans

  1. The Cue Ball squash look lovely, as does that cauliflower. Thankfully the squash vine borers are not a big problem here, though squash bugs are a real pest.

    1. I've only had squash bugs one. It was like the zombie apocalypse. Yuck!

  2. Your cauliflower looks amazing and I'm jealous of your pea harvests. I never get peas in the ground early enough to grow them in the spring.

And vine borers are terrible creatures. That's interesting about the leaf mulch discouraging them, I might have to try that.
